Romanian students' impressions about the project

This message comes in Romanian and English “Totul a început cu o întrebare- “Dorești să iei parte la proiectul “Teen tips for online confort?” Nu știam multe la început, doar denumirea acestuia și tematica – siguranța pe internet, și că era coordonat de doamna profesoară de limba engleză Daniela Buda. După începerea lucrului la proiect, am învățat cum să ne protejăm de străinii de pe internet, lucru care mai apoi ne-a oferit confortul necesar navigării, ne-a ajutat să folosim diverse site-uri de editare de text și imagini. Ne-a oferit și șansa de a cunoaște elevi din alte țări și alte clase de la noi. A fost o experiență frumoasă, pe care aș repeta-o cu mult drag oricând”(Paula Ianoș, clasa 8A). “Everything started with a question: "Do you want to take part in the eTwinning project called “Teen tips for online confort?” I did not know much about the project then, just the tile and the theme - safety on the internet, and that it was coordinated in school by our English teacher, Daniela Buda. After we started to work on the project,we learned how to protect ourselves against the strangers from the internet. This offered us the confort necessary to surf the internet, helped us to use various sites for editing photos and text. It offered us the chance to meet students from other countries and classes from our country. It was an excellent experience for us. And I would happily repeat this experience anytime." (Paula Ianoș, grade 8A). ”Proiectul eTwinning coordonat de doamna profesoară de engleză ne-a ajutat să învățăm să socializăm cu oamenii din alte țări, să edităm poze, să folosim diferite site-uri, și altele. A fost o experiență minunată.” (Alexandra Birta, clasa 8A) “The eTwinning project, coordinated in our school by our English teacher, has helped us to learn how to socialize with people from other countries, to edit photos, to use different sites, etc. It was a wonderful experience. “(Alexandra Birta, grade 8A) “Odată cu începerea acestui proiect, am avut ocazia să învățăm multe lucruri, în special cum să ne protejăm atunci când folosim internetul, și ce informații putem să lăsăm la îndemâna străinilor. Sunt fericită că am avut șansa să particip la proiect și mai ales că doamna profesoară s-a gândit la noi și și-a făcut timp pentru noi, ca proiectul să iasă cât mai bine. ” (Teodora Mogagea, clasa 8A) “This project offered us the chance to learn many things, especially how to protect ourselves when we use the internet, and what kind of information about us we can offer strangers. Safer Internet Day - the 11th of February 2014

11 February was declared the Safer Internet Day. On this day, the Romanian students from grades 8A and 7B and I had some interesting discussions on the Top ten tips for online confort, some materials we made within the eTwinning project "Teen's tips for online confort", 2013-2014.

Tips for online confort in different languages - Tip 10

English version:

      Tip 10  Do not open the webcam for unknown people. They may use your images    inappropriately.

Romanian version:

Tip 10 Nu deschide webcam pentru persoanele necunoscute. S-ar putea să folosească imaginile tale în mod nepotrivit.

Tips for online confort in different languages - Tip 9

English version:

      Tip 9  Always check the people you want to add as friends. They might not be who they say they are. This way you can avoid scammers, pedophils or other child abusers

Romanian version:

Tip 9 verifică persoanele pe care vrei să le adaugi ca prieteni. S-ar putea să nu fie cine spun că sunt. Astfel poți evita țeparii, pedofilii și alte persoane care pot abuza de copii.
